In partnership with Porchlight, Young Adults Project and the Beaney House of Knowledge, Kent Creative Arts Therapy facilitated two full day, large group workshops. With emphasis on social inclusion, confidence building and exploring sense of self, the workshops involved engaging with the museum collection followed by creative mask making and reflective process.
In these sessions KCAT used the ‘Studio Art Therapy’ group model which provides flexible space for meaningful creative engagement and self expression. The facilitators created a peaceful, creative milieu in which active engagement supported connections between self and others. KCAT provided a safe, non-judgmental space for the containment of feelings.
